Terms of Service

AIMovies is a user-generated-content platform for AI-generated films, series, shorts and trailers: creators publish their work, viewers watch it, and the Studio lets creators generate new footage with AI providers selected and managed by AIMovies. Watching is free. Creating in the Studio is paid for with prepaid balance, except the free trial clips of the quick Studio — see "Wallet, prices and payments". The service is evolving — features may change, be added or be withdrawn.

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to create an account.
• Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Provide accurate information and don't impersonate another person or channel.

You retain ownership of everything you upload or generate on AIMovies. We claim no ownership of your films.

So we can operate the service, you grant AIMovies a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transcode, reproduce, display, stream and distribute your content within the service, and to use stills, trailers and metadata to present and promote your content on AIMovies. This license ends within a reasonable period after you delete the content or your account, except for transient backup copies and content shared or reported before deletion where retention is legally required.

Finishing is premiering. When a production of yours is finished — every shot has its take — it premieres in the AIMovies catalog: when you open its premiere room or, if you don't come back, 24 hours after its last take, and we email you the link to its page. Productions featuring another person's verified identity only premiere when you press "Premiere". From its page (or from the premiere room) you can hide it from the catalog at any time: it stays published at its own address and on your channel, but no longer appears on the home page, in the rows, in the trailer theater or in the Friday newsletter. You can also delete it.

Downloads. You can download your own productions. The clean master unlocks once the work has been visible in the catalog for 48 hours in total (the time you keep it hidden doesn't count); before that — or if you never publish it — downloads and clips (such as the vertical clip for social networks) carry an "aimovies.com" watermark. The one exception is a free trial clip from the quick Studio (/studio/quick): its download button gives you the clip as it was generated, without the watermark.

You are responsible for having the rights to everything you publish — see the Community Guidelines and our DMCA policy.

Generations you run in the Studio execute on third-party AI providers selected by AIMovies, which may change over time. They are paid for with your wallet balance, except the free trial clips (next section). In addition:

• fair-use limits apply — for example, a maximum number of screenplay drafts per day or of unpremiered productions at once — and may change prospectively;
• you may not resell, automate or bulk-harvest generation capacity;
• providers apply their own safety and copyright filters, which can stop a generation (sometimes by mistake); a generation stopped this way counts as failed and is refunded;
• generated output is yours to use subject to these terms and the applicable model provider's terms.

The Studio runs on a prepaid balance in US dollars held in your AIMovies wallet.

• Top-ups. You add balance through Stripe, our payment provider: pick a pack ($10, $20 or $50) or enter any whole-dollar amount from $5 to $500. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us. The balance is credited once Stripe confirms the payment, for the exact amount Stripe charged.
• Currency. Payments are charged in US dollars. The amount shown before you pay is the amount charged; your bank or card issuer may apply its own currency conversion or fees.
• Free trial clips. The quick Studio (/studio/quick) lets each account make a limited number of short trial clips for free; the page shows how many you have left. They don't use or touch your balance, and a failed one doesn't count.
• Price before you launch. Every paid generation shows its price (or its maximum price) before you launch it, and is charged to your balance when it starts. Prices may change over time — for example, when a provider changes its rates — but a change never affects a generation already launched.
• Failed generations are free. If a generation fails — a provider error, a filter or a timeout — its exact amount returns to your balance automatically. A generation that completes is charged even if you don't like the result (for AI mistakes, see our guarantee below), and deleting a shot or a take doesn't return what was already spent.
• Our guarantee when the AI gets a shot wrong. If a completed take has a clear AI mistake — a face on the wrong character, clothes that change, or deformed hands, faces or bodies — you can mark it and redo that shot once for free; if the redo itself fails, you can try once more. It covers AI mistakes, not taste. The free redo uses the same text, quality and length as the take you paid for (later changes to the shot don't apply), has daily limits and covers takes you paid for after the guarantee started; we may pause it, or withhold it from accounts that abuse it. We are rolling it out gradually: it applies when “Did the AI get it wrong?” appears next to your take. A mispronounced line can be fixed for free with “Fix the line” where available.
• Extras. Optional extras such as the 4K upgrade (charged per second of video, counted from the frames the work actually has) or dubbing into another language show their price before you order them and are refunded if they fail.
• Gifted balance. Gifted balance — the welcome gift ($10 today, once per person) and any other promotional balance, such as referral or invitation rewards — has no cash value: it can't be withdrawn, refunded or transferred. We may withhold or cancel promotional balance obtained by abusing a promotion, such as through multiple accounts, disposable addresses or automation.
• No expiry. Your balance has no expiry date. It is personal to your account and can't be transferred or exchanged for cash, except for the refunds described in the next section.

If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from a balance purchase within 14 days of buying it: we will refund the purchased balance you haven't used yet, to the original payment method, within 14 days of receiving your request, and deduct the refunded amount from your wallet. To ask, write to legal@aimovies.com from your account's email address.

When you use balance to launch a generation or an extra, you ask us to perform that service immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for the part you have spent. To work out the unused part, gifted balance counts as spent first.

If we close the service, or close your account for reasons not attributable to you, we will refund your unused purchased balance. None of this limits your statutory rights if a service is not provided as agreed.

If you verify your identity, you can star in your own productions, accept a creator's invitation to appear in theirs and — only if you switch on "Public actor" — let any creator cast you, under the license shown when you switch it on. Switching it off stops any new use through it: creators can no longer cast you, and no new scene with you can be generated in productions that had cast you that way (what you accepted in a creator's invitation — for that production and, if you allowed it, their future ones — still counts). Deleting your verified identity stops any new scene with you in any production and erases your materials. Works already made with your permission can stay in the catalog as that license explains, and you can report any use that breaks the guidelines for removal. How we handle these materials is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Publishing on AIMovies requires an accurate provenance manifest: the AI models used and the degree of human involvement. Knowingly false provenance is a breach of these terms.

You agree to follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, you will not publish or attempt to publish:

• child sexual abuse material of any kind — real or generated;
• depictions of identifiable real people without their consent, or deceptive deepfakes;
• doxxing or other invasions of privacy;
• spam, engagement manipulation or malware;
• content that is unlawful where you or we operate.

You also agree not to probe, overload or circumvent the security or rate limits of the service, and not to create multiple accounts to collect promotional balance.

We may quarantine (place "under review"), remove, age-restrict or de-list content, and may suspend or terminate accounts, when we reasonably believe these terms or the guidelines are breached. Titles that accumulate multiple community reports may be quarantined automatically pending human review. Where practicable we tell you what happened and why, and you can contest a decision at legal@aimovies.com.

We respond to copyright notices under our DMCA policy, including takedowns, counter-notices and a repeat-infringer policy.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any piece of content — including AI-generated content — is accurate, lawful in your jurisdiction or fit for a particular purpose. Content published by creators is theirs, not ours.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AIMovies is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including liability for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury where such limits are not permitted.

You can stop using AIMovies at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to legal@aimovies.com from your account's email address. We then delete your profile, your productions and files, your verified identity and its materials, keeping only the record of your wallet movements and payments that accounting and tax law requires. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms; for anything other than serious or repeated breaches (or legal necessity) we will give you reasonable notice. What happens to your balance is covered in "Right of withdrawal and refunds". On termination, sections on ownership, liability and disputes survive.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will give reasonable advance notice (for example, in-product or by email). Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms; if you don't, stop using the service and ask us to delete your account. Changes never apply retroactively to generations already launched.
