In a near-future facility, Doctor Steinhausser pushes Subject 14 past the limits of total sensory deprivation inside an anechoic chamber. As the silence grows absolute, the subject's own body becomes deafening — until something impossible, and luminous, tears its way out of him. A cold open to a horror about what hides beneath human perception.
